Retention
snorklee keeps detailed data for a short time, then keeps only what is useful for aggregate trends.
Main periods
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Raw analytics events | 90 days (safety cap: 180 days max) |
| Live active sessions | about 5 minutes |
| Aggregate AI insights | 90 days |
| Daily aggregate statistics | 25 months |
| Heatmap and attention zones | limited by automatic purge |
| Archived site | recoverable for 30 days, then deleted |
| Invoices | statutory accounting period |
Automatic erasure
Purges are run by server jobs. In normal operation, raw events are purged at 90 days. If a day's aggregation fails, an unconditional safety cap keeps them for at most 180 days before purge.
Manual erasure
You can archive a site, erase a site immediately or request a targeted purge. Immediate erasure deletes events, aggregates, sessions and settings associated with the site.
Practical limit
Because snorklee does not use a stable visitor identifier, we cannot find "person X" in a history. For a visitor request, work by site and approximate time range.
